Ziyech wants to leave Chelsea

Reading Time: < 1 minute

AC Milan are edging closer to securing the services of Hakim Ziyech, with Chelsea willing to let the player leave for £8m this summer – with the Moroccan also having to drop his £5m-a-year wages if he wants to join the Italian champions

Hakim Ziyech wants to leave Chelsea for AC Milan, but for this he has to accept a pay cut.

The Moroccan winger is considered unnecessary at Stamford Bridge and Chelsea would let him leave for a fee of no less than £8.4m.

However, the 29-year-old, who has been seeking a move to the Serie A winners since last season, must reduce his wage demands if he is to have his wish granted.

Milan have made Ziyech their top target this term, with club officials believed to prefer Chelsea’s failure to Club Brugge striker Charles De Ketelaere.

Italian teams tried to sign the Belgian talent this week. Milan offered £27 million, four million less than Leeds and Bruges have told them the deal will not go through unless they increase their offer.
