A pair of injuries in head-coach Antonio di Salvo’s Germany U21 squad have left the squad in need of replacements. It was confirmed on Monday that German-Austrian phenom Paul Wanner has declined to join di Salvo’s camp. Wanner being perhaps the hottest topic in German footballing circles at the moment nevertheless led to Nagelsmann answering questions about the 18-year-old at his Monday presser. Di Salvo issued a statement as well.
