Laporta makes Barcelona fans dream

The president of Barcelona, ??Joan Laporta, has warned that Lionel Messi may return to Camp Nou.

The Argentine star made an emotional exit from the Catalan giants last summer after Barcelona were unable to extend his contract.

The 35-year-old had signed with Paris Saint-Germain for two years, so he has one year left on his contract.

The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner left his beloved club with tears in his eyes after his contract expired.

However, it seems that this was not a farewell, but a goodbye.

The head of the club is actually preparing for a dream that could become reality.

“I don’t believe that Messi’s era in Barcelona is over. I believe that our responsibility is to make it clear that this journey is still open, it is not closed. I think he could have a better ending than he had. If you ask me if I owe him and if I feel indebted to him, the answer is ‘yes'”, said Laporta in an interview for “ESPN”.

“Morally, as president of Barcelona, ??I think I did what I needed to do. But, again as president of Barcelona and personally, I think I owe him”, concluded the head of the Catalan club.

Barca was quite active in this transfer window, but fans only have to wait until next summer to possibly see Messi playing for Barcelona again.

This was requested by coach Xavi Hernandez, who believes that with Leo his team will rise and have another dimension.
