The latest reports in Italy suggest that Roberto Firmino is set to leave Liverpool this summer, with Juventus having offered €22.6m (around £19m) for the striker.

Corriere dello Sport wrote today that the Whites will look for the Brazilian, who can play in several attacking positions.

Juve is looking for a striker who can play with Dusan Vlahovic, but he can also be his substitute in certain matches.

Alvaro Morata remains the first choice, but Firmino has quickly entered the race to take his place in Turin.

His contract with Liverpool, which expires in June 2023, and limited playing time for him following the arrival of Darwin Nunez this summer will be key for Firmino.

Firmino turns 31 in October and last season scored 11 goals and made five assists in 35 appearances for the Reds.

Corriere dello Sport also writes that Firmino is aware of the negotiations and prefers a move to Juventus in order to secure an invitation from Brazil for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

He would work with several other signings at Juve, including Angel Di Maria, Paul Pogba and Gleison Bremer.
