Barcelona and Sevilla have already reached an agreement in principle for the transfer of Jules Kounde.
The leaders of the Catalan club did not want the operation to take longer and have presented an irresistible offer to Sevilla.
According to the Spanish medium “SPORT”, Barcelona will pay 50 million euros for Kounde’s services, as well as another 10 million in the form of bonuses.
The Frenchman was the main target for the defense reinforcement and Xavi can already be happy with his arrival.
The Spanish coach was instrumental in signing the player. It was he who asked the 23-year-old to be patient and wait until Barca could make an irresistible offer to Sevilla, at a time when Chelsea were close to signing him.
Xavi has assured Kounde that he will be a key player in his team. Xavi’s speech convinced the player, who then turned down the opportunity to move to the “Blues” of London.
