Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva says he “wants to be” at the club and is “happy” to be staying despite rumors of a move away this summer.
The Portuguese representative was linked with transfers to Paris St-Germain and Barcelona.
Silva, 28, said one club made a late bid but it was the only one City received for him.
“I’m staying. I have spoken to the club and I will stay,” he said. “I am happy here at Man City and I will do my best.”
He added after City’s 6-0 Premier League win over Nottingham Forest on Wednesday: “In the last five seasons we’ve won four Premier Leagues and reached the Champions League final.
“It is one of the three best clubs in the world and it is a club in which I want to be and I am happy”, said the Portuguese.
