Paris Saint-Germain coach Christophe Galtier has refused to give up on a move for Inter defender Skriniar. “Talks with Inter are difficult, but everything is possible,” he said
The transfer window closes on Thursday evening, September 1, and plenty of deals could be done by then, including Fabian Ruiz’s move from Napoli to PSG and Leandro Paredes expected to leave the Parc des Princes from Juventus.
Most of the summer has been spent in Paris Saint-Germain’s efforts to buy the defender of Inter Skriniar and it seems that Galtier is still not convinced to part with this transfer.
“I can’t tell you it’s over. During transfer deadlines, there are always surprises,” said Galtier in his press conference.
“Milan is a goal of ours for a long time. The talks with Inter are very difficult. You must also respect their position. But with two days left, anything is possible.”
Inter has repeatedly rejected several offers of more than 60 million euros for Inter when the transfer window began, now at the end of it they will not allow him to leave without paying 70-90 million euros.
They don’t have much time to find a replacement, so Inter won’t hesitate to close the door, despite Galtier’s public protests.
Skriniar is under contract with Inter until June 2023, but is believed to have a deal in place to extend that, allaying fears he will leave on a free transfer next summer.
