Adriano Galliani believes that English clubs are too rich to play in Europe.

The general manager of the Monza Serie A team has called for a type of Super League in Europe in which there would be no English team.

There is a general opinion that the economic superiority of the Premier League teams is worth so much that all the top clubs in Europe can no longer compete with it.

This proposal came from Adriano Galliani, who gave these suggestions during an interview given to the Italian newspaper, Tuttosport.

The former vice-president and general manager of AC Milan sees this as an equitable economic solution for Europe’s teams, which cannot be compared to the monetary superiority of Premier League clubs.

“The Super League could be a solution, but without the English clubs,” he said.

“So should Brexit in football. It would be a real European Championship, without the British in it. The 20 Premier League clubs earn almost four times as much as the 20 Serie A clubs.”
