Despite facing a financial crisis, Barcelona is active in this summer’s transfer window.

The Catalan club has so far signed footballers such as Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, Andreas Christensen and Franck Kessie – while continuing to work with Ousmane Dembele.

The coach of the team, Xavi, has recently spoken about his role in transfers. He said that his non-involvement is not decisive.

“I wouldn’t say that my involvement becomes decisive. Mateu Alemany and Jordi Cruyff are doing a great job. We are a family, we are united. Barcelona is a magnet for players,” said the Spaniard.

Next, Xavi showed how they are convincing the footballers to move to “Camp Nou”, as he said that the fact that Barcelona is a big club also helps him.

“I don’t compare projects, I just give clear explanations. I’m talking about the game model, about the city. This is how I am. I prefer to stay at home unless I give 100% to this job. I try to make the players have fun and feel that they matter. Of course, Barça’s greatness also helps,” added the 42-year-old.

“The desire of the players to come here speaks of the greatness of the club on a global and historical level. It is an inspiring project. We don’t hide anything from the players. Even if it’s not the best period, it’s still Barcelona and people want to play here. This year’s word is ‘dream’. Lewandowski’s desire to move to Barça is a success for the history of the club”, declared Xavi.
