Bayern Munich seems to have identified Robert Lewandowski’s replacement in La Liga.

The Polish striker moved to Barcelona earlier this month, signing a four-year contract.

Bayern were bolstered by Sadio Mane in attack, but the Senegalese signed for the German club before Lewandowski left.

And, now the champions of Germany have begun the mission to fill the space vacated by the 33-year-old.

According to “AS”, the Bundesliga giant could make a surprising but bold move for Espanyol striker Raul de Tomas.

The Spanish forward had an impressive season after scoring 17 goals in La Liga in 2021/22, and he could now reportedly be lured by a new challenge in the Champions League, which Bayern are sure to offer him.

His current release clause is 75 million euros, but this amount is not expected to be paid by the “Bavarez”.

However, Bayern could open talks with Espanyol over the 27-year-old’s transfer and attempt to sign him for a lower fee.

The proceeds from Lewandowski’s sale to Barcelona are believed to be used to buy Raul de Tomas.
