While reports in Spain and Argentina point to Milan’s interest in Luis Suarez, the Italians are convinced that the only offer comes from newly promoted Monza.
The news first appeared on TyC Sport and then an agent said to represent Suarez spoke to Diario AS about his desire to play in Serie A after turning down Fenerbahce.
Monza was mentioned, but the report went on to claim that the Uruguayan was close to Milan for €4 million a season.
He is a free agent after leaving Atletico Madrid and was linked with Juventus last year.
However, all Italian sources including MilanNews, Calciomercato and Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà ensure that Milan are not in the running for Luis Suarez.
Monza have indeed made an approach, as they are in talks with Paris Saint-Germain striker Mauro Icardi.
