Frenkie De Jong could leave Barcelona during the summer transfer window, as Manchester United are believed to have expressed serious interest in the midfielder.
The new coach of the English team, Erik ten Hag, who will take over the leadership of the team from next season, is said to want the transfer of De Jong as he likes his game and believes that it would be the right reinforcement.
Ten Hag and De Jong worked together years ago at Ajax.
“El Chiringuito” has reported that Barcelona will allow the departure of the Dutch midfielder and that he is asking for at least 70 million euros for him.
The Catalans reportedly do not see the 24-year-old as untouchable in the starting lineup.
De Jong has a contract with Barça until June 30, 2026.
